Michael Zhao grew up on a farm in rural Guangxi and found his way to guiding as a way to show off the incredible beauty of his home region to travelers.
The poetic landscape of Guilin’s innumerable karst peaks are some of the best views in all of China and, for him, there is no better way to take it all in than from the bow of a boat floating down the river. Under his passionate, knowledgeable leadership, guests are able to see everything this stunning region has to offer with new eyes.
When he is not guiding, Michael enjoys playing basketball and running.
