We’ve met some amazing people in 2020 and along the way, we’ve collected items they’ve made that tell their story.
As the year draws to a close, we now want to give them away!
We’re a travel company, so there’s no need to tell us how challenging this year has been. But actually, as hard as it has been, this year has pushed us to be better. 2020 has forced us to redefine how we work, it’s made us really think about what we value most, and it’s helped us come back to basics and make sure that everything we do fits with our philosophy and mission.
As we move towards the end of the year, we don’t want to just think about how quickly 2020 can be over and what 2021 will bring. We want to celebrate the people and places that have brought us joy this year and give away goodies that we’ve collected from them along the way.
What Are We Giving Away?
For us, it’s the people we’ve met and the places we’ve had the honor to visit, be it virtually or in-person, that have made us smile in 2020. Throughout our journeys, we’ve collected food, beverages, and artisanal crafts that represent a story or person close to our hearts. And now, we’re giving them away in our 5 Weeks of Very Merry Giveaways.
Whether it’s a bottle (or two) of red wine from Ningxia, hand-crafted porcelain from Jingdezhen, salt-cured ham from Yunnan, or home-made Fujianese rice wine, we’ve popped items in our suitcases as we’ve been out and about and brought them back to our head office in Beijing.
Now, each week in the lead up to the end of the year, we want to give them away to you, as thanks for your support in 2020.
Over the next 5 weeks, we’ll give away a couple of the gifts we’ve collected each week. Then, in the final week of giveaways, we’ll announce a special prize that we hope will have one lucky winner’s 2021 off to a very good start.

We’ll pick our 2 favorite photos each Monday from now until the end of the year. We’ll repost the winning photos each week (on a Tuesday) on our WeChat account and we’ll also post the photos on our Instagram account that reaches around 30,000 people each week across the world.
