We are thrilled to present our conversation with Tan Bo, the International Director of Impressionist and Modern Art at Christie’s. Tan Bo, having worked for one of the most renowned international art auction houses in the world, shows us “How To Collect Monet”. She leads us through the world of Impressionist art and into the world of art collection and auctioneering.

Tan Bo is currently Senior Vice President, Director of China, and Senior Specialist of Christie’s Impressionist and Modern Art Department. She holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Art History from the Academy of Fine Arts at Tsinghua University. She is an associate editor and author of The Complete Guide to World Art – Classics of Foreign Painting published by People’s Fine Arts Publishing House. She has extensive experience working in the art market and has been active in the auction world for over ten years now. Before joining Christie’s, she was Director and Head of the Modern and Contemporary Art Department at Cheng Xuan Auctioneers in Beijing for ten years, where she was responsible for over twenty successful auctions.
