Together with Bolian Resorts and Spa, we’re excited to launch a new journey from Kunming to Tengchong, where you’ll discover the natural wonders and traditions of Yunnan’s central frontiers.

On this 6-day journey, you’ll reawaken your mind, body, and soul by connecting to nature and local cultures found along the southern tip of the ancient Tea and Horse Road.

Where you're going
Itinerary

Day 1Kunming

Arrive in Kunming. Your local guide will meet you in the arrival hall with your private vehicle on standby to take you to your hotel • Enjoy a welcome reception and check in to your resort • Experience traditional Chinese medicine therapy and massage • Enjoy a specially prepared dinner • Relax in a traditional Chinese medicine spa.

Day 2Kunming

Spend the morning with yoga and taichi practice, then learn how to make flower cakes – one of Yunnan’s traditional desserts – that are infused with local botanical notes • Enjoy a traditional rice-noodle lunch • Spend the afternoon with a traditional tea ceremony and relax with incense aromatherapy • Enjoy dinner and relax under the starry night sky in the outdoor hot springs.

Day 3Tengchong

Spend the morning at your leisure or learn how to make traditional flower arrangements • Fly to Tengchong • Enjoy a welcome reception and check in to your resort • Have dinner and relax in the outdoor hot springs.

 

Day 4Gaoligong Mountains

Hike through the pristine Gaoligong Mountains, Yunnan’s western highlands which straddles the Myanmar and Yunnan border • Enjoy a homecooked farmhouse lunch • .Enjoy dinner at the resort and finish your evening with a Jade spa experience.

 

Day 5Heshun Ancient Town

Experience the calm and peace of the 600-year-old Heshun Ancient Town • Immerse yourself in the ancient village customs and traditions • Drift along the misty waters and lotus flowers on a peaceful boat ride • Enjoy a traditional lunch at a local restaurant • Visit China’s second largest hot spring reserves – Rehai Scenic Area.

Day 6Tengchong

Your guide will escort you to the airport and help you check in for your flight home.

Departure Dates

Given the current restrictions on group travel in China, we are currently accepting registrations of interest in this journey for the dates listed above. We will confirm whether or not we are able to operate the journey two weeks prior to the scheduled departure. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.
