The Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane

For our July book club, we’ll be reading The Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane in preparation for our chat with the author, Lisa See.

The Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane tells a powerful story about culture, tradition, and family ties. All about the Akha people of Xishuangbanna, a prefecture on the border with Myanmar and Laos, the novel paints a delicate portrait of this little-known part of China’s southwest. Join us in reading the novel before we sit down with the author for a live Q&A.
