Li Yinuo (李一诺)

Founder of ETU Education

 

Yinuo is the co-founder of ETU Education, an innovative education effort aimed at driving changes in China’s education by creating an empowering education ecosystem through social innovation. She is also the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation China Director, and a former partner of McKinsey & Company.

As a mother of 3 young children, Yinuo founded ETU School in 2016, in hopes of cultivating graduates who have global competency and strong intrinsic motivations to drive positive changes in the connected world. Yinuo serves as a trustee on the 21st Century Education Research Institute, as a board member on the Academic Advisory Board for the Schwarzman Scholarship, and previously as member of the final selection committee of Rhodes Scholarship in China.   

Yinuo’s prestigious awards include the World Economic Forum’s Young Global Leader (2016), ifeng.com’s “Top 10 Charity Figures of the Year” (2017), Portrait Magazine’s “Women of the Year” (2018) and the Center for China and Globalization’s “40 Influential Returnees in 40 Years of Reform and Opening-up” (2018).  

Yinuo and her husband co-founded the WeChat public account “nulishehui” in 2014, which reports on social and global issues, with now over 12 million followers. 

Yinuo has a B.S. in biology from Tsinghua University in Beijing and a Ph.D. in molecular biology from UCLA.
